When asked about his artist statement he smiles and humbly says, "I love to paint!" His work demonstrates this love through his palette of rich colors, carefully arranged compositions and loving treatment of the subject matter.
Frank Bruckmann studied at the DuCret School of the Arts, NJ, Arts Students League, NY and Paris American Academy, Paris. He has taught art at Bruce Museum, Greenwich, CT, Silvermine Art School, New Canaan, CT and Rowayton Arts Center, Darien, CT. He has won awards for his work such as at the John Slade Ely House Members Exhibit Award, The Weiss Sisters Award and Elizabeth Pragst Memorial Award.
He has shown at many galleries in the region, including River Street Gallery, Gallery 418, and Gallery 195 in New Haven, CT, Silvermine Gallery, New Canaan, CT. and Iverarary Gallery, Villanova, PA. Lupine Gallery, Monhegan ME. His work is in numerous private collections.
